Rt Hon Patrick Ifon

When as Chairman of ONNA Local Government Area between 1999 and 2012, Hon Patrick Ifon established 42 water stations( borehole, tanks and generator house) in the 42 villages of the area, revamped health facilities, got the state government to post a resident doctor to one of them and paid stipends as bursary to students, there was every indication that if he would seek a higher office, his people will rally support for him.

The opportunity came in 2019 when the people supported his ambition and voted him to represent Eket/Esit Eket/ Ibeno/ONNA Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. He has not failed his people as he is one of the proactive representatives in the House.

The alumnus of St Patrick’s College, Calabar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and a Masters degree in Environmental Microbiology from the University of Calabar. He is a member of the Nigeria Society of Microbiology and the Nigeria Environmental Society.
