Rt Hon Francis Charles Uduyork
Rt. Hon Francis Charles Uduyork has always been an agent of development, even as a young man. As National President of the National Association of Eastern Obollo Students Worldwide, he facilitated the establishment of the one and only secondary school in his Okoroete community, the Okoromita Comprehensive Secondary School.
He went on to the University of Calabar, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Today he is on his second term as Member representing Ikot Abasi/Mkpat Enin/Eastern Obollo in the Federal House of Representatives.
At the House of Representatives, Akwa Ibom people will remember him as the legislator who called the attention of the House to the story of the victims of the Reigners Bible Church collapse, seeking that they be compensated and honoured. He also sponsored the motion for the creation of additional state constituencies in Akwa Ibom State and other parts of Nigeria. His immediate constituents will remember him as one who has attracted projects like construction and renovation of schools, borehole projects and empowerment programmes.
Before going to the House of Representatives in 2015, he was Chairman of Eastern Obollo Local Government Area for two terms, where he proved himself as a grassroots development change agent by carrying out road construction, schools renovations and giving a facelift and befitting structure to tho the Local Government secretariat.
