Princess Anne Inyang

Prolific songwriter, composer, singer, and multiple award winning gospel artiste, Princess Anne Inyang, started out performing at night clubs at age 10 after the late music legend, Bobby Benson, discovered her and got her to perform regularly at his night club in Lagos. She switched to gospel music following remarkable salvation encounter: “I was performing on one of the nights at the club, when suddenly the Saviour of mankind appeared to me and I had to stop the show and embraced Him.”

Starting out as praise and worship leader and later, music director at The Redeemed Evangelical Mission, Ann quit her banking job to follow her passion and calling as a music minister. She has written and produced many songs that have become everyday church songs across the country; songs like Things Are Getting Better, God Cannot Lie, You Are Worthy, Lord, Power In The Word and Fully Committed which she wrote and taught the congregation at TREM headquarters in Lagos.

Ann has nine albums to her name including All the Way with Jesus, released in 1996 which features what has become the greatest of all her songs, Akanam Nkwe. Said Anne: “Akanam Nkwe is like Things Fall Apart. The author wrote many books, but Things Fall Apart stands out. Of course, it does not mean that the other books are not interesting.” She has received 72 awards locally and internationally and performed in the United States, South Africa, Poland and Ghana among others. Ann Inyang leads a 13-man band, Saint Music Crew and is the CEO of Saint Music.
