Joseph Asuquo Inyang
Outstanding Public Servant
Joseph Asuquo Inyang is about the youngest Nigerian to be honoured with a National Honour. At 29, and In recognition of his dedication, honesty and diligence in service, former President Olusegun Obasanjo approved his nomination as the most committed and outstanding junior staff in the federal civil service for subsequent conferment of the national honour award of Member of the Federal Republic,MFR in 2004.
Hardworking and resourceful, Inyang has worked with many past Ministers of Police Affairs as the official in charge of the Data Bank of the Ministry.
His unbeatable track record at work has earned him other outstanding excellence awards, including that of the Civil Service Union Award and Public Service Merit Award in 2000 and 2003, respectively.
The Ikono born Inyang holds an HND in Business Administration from Federal Polytechnic, Nassarawa State, a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Abuja where he bagged a B.Sc in Public Administration.
Starting as a junior staff, Inyang has, by sheer dint of hardwork and committed service, risen in the public service and is, at present, the Chief Protocol Officer to the Hon. Minister of Police Affairs.
