Hon Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo
He was once summoned by the Rivers State House of Assembly for giving employment opportunities to Akwa Ibom indigenes while working as a Senior Management Staff at an Oil & Gas Servicing Company in Port Harcourt. Today, as a Member of the House of Representatives, representing Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency, all he does is still people-centred.
He bankrolls a healthcare initiative for pregnant women as well as entrepreneurship and educational assistance schemes for his people. In just over a year at the House of Representatives, he has sponsored and supported people-oriented motions and bills including does addressing issues in the country’s health, educational and environmental sectors.
Akwa Ibom Celebrates this alumnus of the University of Uyo, who is the first Nigerian to become a Chartered Fellow Safety and Health Practitioner (CFIOSH), the highest safety qualification awarded in the United Kingdom awarded by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health.
