Archbishop Idem Ikon
A pioneer evangelist.

Archbishop Idem Ikon is one of Akwa Ibom’s most influential Christian leaders of the 21st century. A prominent international evangelist and missionary, The Archbishop has worked tirelessly in the Lord’s vineyard for more than half a century. He is the president and founder of the Revival Valley Ministries located in Calabar, Cross River State Nigeria.

Born in October 1949, Ikon had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ during the Nigeria-Biafra war in 1967. After his conversion, Ikon was inspired by the Holy Spirit and by the tremendous works and testimonies of T. L. Osborn to begin his journey into the world missions.

Ikon began his foray into full time Ministry in 1973, hosting and organising crusades in Southern Nigeria. Two years later, in the year 1975, he left the shores of Nigeria to minister in different parts of Africa. Becoming the pioneer pastor to organise evangelical open-air crusades in countries such as Senegal, Cameroon, Tanzania, The Gambia, and Guinea-Bissau. His evangelistic campaigns has led him to preach and plant over one hundred churches in over eighty (80) nations on five continents.

A highly decorated recipient of national and international awards, Ikon has also authored several Christian books. Some of the books include: “Not Many Fathers”, “Breakthrough into Greatness”, “Successful Living”, “The Soul Winners Handbook” and “Welcome to your Heritage”. His mission and aim is to reach out to every African country and beyond with the Gospel.

    God bless this great Akwa Ibom son for his contribution to the Christian literature. His book, “Not many fathers” is must read if you wish to gain deeper insight into mentorship and discipleship.
