His Eminence, Dr Emmanuel Josiah Udofia
Primate, The African Church
On April 31, 2009, His Eminence, Archbishop Emmanuel Udofia, was enthroned the 11th Primate of the African Church in Nigeria. He was just 50 and his tenure has become the defining moment of the 119-year old church. He is the first and only primate of the church to be elected outside the church’s western provinces.
A prolific writer and author of several books, including Don’t Give Up, Holy Spirit Empowerment and Visionary Leadership Principles, the cleric who hails from Ika Local Government is an evangelist of note, who has contributed massively within and outside the country to expand and strengthen the kingdom of God and the gospel of salvation. He holds a Diploma in Theology, a Bachelors Degree in Education and a Masters in Library Science. He has ordained a deacon in 1983, a priest in 1985, archdeacon in 1991 and Bishop in 2000.
Happily married and blessed with Children, Archbishop Udofia has won several Awards including Integrity Award from Harvest Time International Bible Institute and Excellence Award from the Prestigious Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio.
