Professional Grants Manager
When Non-Governmental Organizations, especially those who used the HIV/AIDS preponderance as motivation for formation, are fizzling out, one is becoming stronger and filling huge gaps left by the obviously misdirected ones who have left the scene.
Excellence Community Education Welfare Services, ECEWS, is making waves, very much because of the man behind it.
Andy Eyoh has shown great character in organising, managing and administering ECEWS to get to the level it is. ECEWS has impacted greatly on the Akwa Ibom community and beyond in the area of advocacy for, and services towards improving quality health care, education and in sourcing for and optimally utilising grants from multilateral agencies for these services.
Eyo is a graduate of Chemistry from the University of Calabar and holds two Postgraduate Diplomas in Environmental Management and Education from the University of Uyo. He also holds a Master degree in Business Administration (Leadership) from the University of Liverpool and has attended several courses in Education and HIV/AIDS, becoming a lead community-level strategic HIV/AIDS prevention specialist.
He is an experienced grants management specialist with Certificate in Grant Management from North Pole institute, USA and Lagos Business School. He is also an experienced trainer and technical advisor in HIV/AIDS programming and has been responsible for the overall performance management in ECEWS with certification from Measure Evaluation/PHRP-OAU Ife as a Monitoring and Evaluation professional. He has several certifications in management of World Bank programs, especially in the HAF 1 process.
No wonder ECEWS has been trusted by multilateral agencies to run their programmes in Nigeria. Andy was responsible for managing the World Bank-sponsored technical assistance project for CSOs mandated to implement HAF 1 in 2005- 2006. He was the Principal Investigator and Project Director of a seven-year-long $5.1 million MACC-4 project; a CDC/PEPFAR project in Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Abia States focusing on HIV Prevention, Care and Support.
Currently, he is the Principal Investigator of a CDC/PEPFAR Comprehensive HIV/AIDS Care and Treatment project in Enugu, Imo and Ebonyi States which supports over 4000 patients on anti-retroviral therapy. He also supervises the UNFPA funded SRH/HIV integration project in Benue, Cross River, Akwa Ibom and Kaduna States. He has certifications on the Epidemiology of HIV/AIDS and Health Planning from John Hopkins University, MD USA.
